Starting Monday, Chef Scott Crawford will be offering a three-course lunch for $20 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays through August. Crawford is the new executive chef at Herons restaurant at The Umstead Hotel and Spa in Cary.

As owner-chef of Mia Madre Trattoria in Avalon, Alex “Al” Nicholas is responsible for putting his late mother’s recipes out there for patrons to enjoy.
